Since 2014, Piper Sandler (then Piper Jaffray) has trusted iSPACE Environments to handle important parts of their many, multi-faceted office moves and updates. A recent project joined teams from an existing Piper Jaffray New York City office and those from Sandler O’Neill + Partners (acquired in 2020) in an updated Midtown Manhattan space.
Our team sourced and installed new furnishings and architectural walls for the space in addition to coordinating the teardown, move and reuse of existing furnishings from one office to the other. 48 offices, 46 workstations, 70 traders stations, multiple conference spaces, break rooms and guest seating areas were involved – all in the midst of COVID-19 quarantine and lockdown in NYC, with the majority of communications and project management taking place remotely throughout the 16-month project.

Teknion Optos architectural walls in anthracite with floor-to-ceiling glass and custom, inside-mounted barn doors delineate the private offices and provide significant natural light to the work areas within. A unique phone room, also built with Optos, provides quiet space for conversations or focused work. Teknion Expansion casegoods and Teknion District workstations – all with height-adjustable desks – provide smart and stylish work areas and storage in light-filled spaces accented by natural woods.
Handsome Kiik modular seating from Arper provides comfortable spaces for guests in lobby and common areas. Nucraft Flow tables and credenzas, and Stylex Insight executive seating provide sophisticated function in conference spaces. Additional seating and tables from StudioTK, Allermuir, Senator, Teknion and Leland International used throughout the spaces provide professional comfort in work and ancillary spaces across the three floors of the new Piper Sandler space.
