Amy Sundermeyer Promoted to Chief Financial Officer

Sundermeyer’s Leadership Proves Invaluable

Effective immediately, Amy Sundermeyer, formerly iSpace’s controller, will serve as chief financial officer. The promotion, coming three years after joining the iSpace team, positions Sundermeyer alongside CEO & Founder Joel Peterson, and President Dustin Benz, collaborating on the executive leadership team for the growing company.

Sundermeyer, a Cottage Grove, MN, native and graduate of Winona State University, was hired in 2020 as accounting manager after eight years with a local firm as a public accountant and outsourced financial controller in the real estate and construction industry. Her experience in the field, business acumen and demonstrated leadership led to her promotion to controller of iSpace after just one year with the company.

In her two years as controller, Sundermeyer and her teams worked to implement new reporting and inventory management systems that have improved business-wide forecasting efforts–and sharpened the company’s ability to analyze project profitability.

“Amy’s promotion to CFO is well-deserved,” said CEO & Founder Joel Peterson. “During her time as controller at iSpace she has demonstrated her alignment with our core values and her ability to effectively manage and lead her team in support of our strategic plan. I’m excited to have her as a member of our leadership team and feel very confident about our future with Amy as our CFO.”

In her new role as CFO, she will continue her active role in budgeting and analysis, but with greater oversight of overall company operations and emphasis on leading through economic and industry dynamics.

“I’m thrilled. I think that Joel has created a fantastic company,” noted Sundermeyer. “I’m excited to be at the forefront of decision making and helping ensure we can reach our goals as a company.”

An active and licensed CPA, Sundermeyer maintains her accreditation through ongoing continued education and savors the ongoing opportunities for growth at iSpace. Outside of work, Sundermeyer is an avid runner who participates in a few races each year–finishing a half marathon recently.

Congratulations, Amy!
