Dan White Appointed as Director of Business Development

White to Build on Proven Leadership and Industry Relations Experience in New Role

Effective immediately, Dan White will serve as iSpace’s Director of Business Development. This appointment, coming three years into his tenure as Director of Sales, positions White as a key ambassador for the company in the marketplace—representing all things iSpace.

White holds an undergraduate degree in Architecture from the University of Minnesota. He gathered extensive experience in retail sales and management before joining a small Mankato furniture dealer in 2009. There, he excelled in design and customer relations roles, eventually being promoted to company president. Around the same time, White’s passion for the industry, his acumen for products and processes, and his savvy in customer relationships caught the eye of iSpace’s founder and CEO, Joel Peterson. Peterson was seeking opportunities to expand iSpace’s reach into out-state Minnesota.

In 2016, White joined iSpace and spearheaded the creation of iSpace’s Mankato location– beginning that effort from his own home office. Dan and his growing Mankato team have since overseen the design and build-out of two new office showrooms. The most current location, in Mankato’s historic Graif Building, earned the 2023 CityDesign Award which recognizes projects that contribute to the economic vitality of the Mankato City Center.

In the last three years as Director of Sales for iSpace White has led the furniture and architectural products divisions and, as a member of the company’s executive leadership team, has been heavily involved in iSpace’s EOS business development initiatives. Splitting time between Mankato and the Minneapolis HQ Showroom—and traveling extensively across the country meeting clients and manufacturers—White has been cultivating industry relations both near and far and has gained incredible insight into iSpace’s offerings and opportunities in the marketplace.

“Dan’s deep understanding of our products and the markets we serve, combined with his genuine passion for building relationships, makes him uniquely positioned to lead our business development efforts,” said Peterson. “His knack for connecting with people, his strategic mindset, and his unwavering enthusiasm for our mission are precisely why Dan will excel as our Director of Business Development.”

In his new role White will represent the full spectrum of iSpace workplace solutions, promoting furniture, technology and architectural products in all market segments: corporate, civic, educational and auto & industrial. He looks forward to this chance to reconnect with existing customers and manufacturers, and to extend iSpace’s reach into new markets and opportunities.

“I’m really looking forward to being out and engaged in our business communities with this unique opportunity to wave the iSpace flag,” said White. “We have an amazing, knowledgeable team and an incredible collection of product solutions. We really do create great spaces…places where people want to work.”

Outside of work, White loves spending time with his wife and three children and is an avid musician, playing gigs with his band DW3 as time allows. He is on the Board of Directors for Feeding Our Communities Partners (FOCP) as well as the CityCenter Partnership in Mankato and looks forward to getting more involved in MNCAR, MREJ, CoreNet, and other industry organizations in his new role.

Congratulations, Dan!
