Mankato, MN is experiencing a growth spurt. The downtown core has numerous new developments including the Eide Bailly Center where Gislason & Hunter LLP became one of the building’s first occupants with a spectacular space on the 5th floor.

iSpace Environments was invited to collaborate with the architects and designers at NELSON to outfit nearly every inch of Gislason & Hunter’s floorplate. As a legal firm, privacy was crucial, so the design called for private offices exclusively, rather than open workspaces. Glass-clad Teknion Optos architectural walls mirror the aesthetic of the floor-to-ceiling glass of the building architecture and ensure ample light to the innermost spaces while ensuring acoustic division.

The firm welcomes many clients and associates throughout the day, warranting a generous number of meeting rooms easily accessible from the main elevator lobby. Teknion Optos walls provide breathtaking views throughout the space and make an incredible first impression. Crestron AirMedia technologies in these meeting spaces allow for wireless content sharing in addition to table cubby connections. To meet the varying needs of their client and team engagements, a range of furniture solutions were used to provide differing postures and environments. The largest meeting space is the most flexible. Teknion’s Training Tables in this room can be nested, arranged in conference or theater configurations, or rolled out of the space altogether for larger, social gatherings. A Crestron Flex system further provisions this largest meeting space for audio/video conferencing, content sharing and system controls.

Just beyond the handsome Gus Modern lounge seating in the main lobby is the break room where Teknion Banqs & Tables and Rouillard stools provide a comfortable location of respite for the G&H team.

In the private offices, two configurations of Teknion Expansion Desking and Casegoods provide a setting for attorney interaction with clients while utilizing height-adjustable work surfaces for their comfort and flexibility. Sliding glass barn doors hung on the Optos walls in these hallways efficiently maximize space and provided the needed acoustic privacy.

In addition to furnishings, architectural walls and meeting room technologies, iSpace Environments supplied low-voltage cabling and wifi connectivity throughout the space. From end-to-end, iSpace provided a full scope of products and services to position the Gislason & Hunter team for success in their magnificent, new space.
