Piper Jaffray has a long history with iSpace Environments, but this 30,000 sq. ft. project—which included workstations, enclosed offices, trading desks and collaborative workspaces for 115 employees—was their first to incorporate architectural walls. To maintain a strict aesthetic direction and budget, Teknion’s Focus wall was selected for use throughout the project. The attractive attributes of Focus included the superior acoustic qualities of its double pane glass design and the availability of encapsulated sliding doors which optimized usable space in the offices.
This project was a demonstration in skillful planning and coordination with the design firm, general contractor, installation team, manufacturing partner and Piper Jaffray. As is Piper Jaffray’s standard, each user was accommodated with a height-adjustable workstation to allow for healthy movement throughout the workday. The extensive use of Teknion products helped to simplify the process and allowed for stunning finish and installation consistency.
Despite the long distance between iSpace’s headquarters in Minneapolis and the Houston project location, the project team’s dedication resulted in a great success.
