Lindsey Rain (NCIDQ, LEED AP), a consummate “connector” with more than 30 years of experience in the Interior Design Industry, recently joined the iSpace Environments team – bolstering strategic business development efforts.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Lindsey to the iSpace team!” shared Joel Peterson, Founder and CEO. “Her industry experience, passion for design, and talent for building meaningful relationships make her a perfect fit for this role at iSPACE. We’re excited to see how her expertise will elevate our partnerships and drive our vision forward.”
Lindsey studied interior design at the University of Minnesota’s College of Design, practiced professionally for 5 years, taught as an adjunct interior design instructor, and has spent more than two decades supporting the Architectural & Design (A&D) community as a representative for two of the industry’s largest global manufacturers.
“I’ve been fortunate to work for some great companies who really value their employees and their customers – and appreciate how designers approach their work. This new role seems like a perfect fit. It really was meant to be,” noted Lindsey as she described how the stars aligned for this new role.
While her design and manufacturing insights give her the perfect vantage point for this new position, building relationships (which has always been a favorite part of her career) will be her focus. “Inviting our partners into our beautiful showroom…getting to know them on an individual basis…understanding their needs…that’s what I really look forward to in this new role.”
Lindsey’s love of design and building relationships is evident outside her job, as well. She has been a volunteer, committee member and board member for IIDA Northland Chapter, and often focuses on design education initiatives that mentor interior design students. She’s currently serving on the IIDA Northland MinneCon Committee.
Lindsey is happily married to Matt Rain, an industry professional, and they have two, almost grown children. In her spare time, she enjoys entertaining with friends, cooking, gardening, seeing live music and traveling.
